Hi everyone,
I thought I would share with you my day voting at the polls for the primary election we just had. After leaving from getting my hair cut and colored I remembered on my way home that I hadn't voted. So off I go to the small church on Broadway to vote. After arriving I was shocked to see the parking lot FULL and the line down the street. I thought wow I'll be here forever. I was lucky and found a parking close and got in line.
Jamie and I had requested a early ballot and of course it came the day of the election in the mail. I had it in the car (long story short) I asked if I could hand it to them and they said absolutely! Off I go passed all these people in line and a part of me felt good then I felt bad for them. I was told the wait was 2 hours long. After I placed my ballot in the proper box I looked over to see the table where you had to check in with your 2 PROPER ID'S there sat 5 Little (I mean little) old ladies. I thought Ahh that's why the line isn't moving. I heard someone say they were there since 5:30 AM with no lunch or breaks. Well quess what? I asked if I could help in any way because I had a couple of hours to kill. They said are you kidding, yes we'd love to have you. Within minutes I was sitting in the middle of these sweet little ladies. Okay remember I mentioned I had just had my hair cut and colored so you can imagine what I looked like. I told my hairdresser to just blow dry my hair because I was going straight home. I arrived at 3:00 and guess what time I got home? The polls close at 7:00 but if you are in line you get to vote. The last voter came thru at 8:30 pm. Then these ladies had to break everything down. They said they had another 2 hours of work to do. I said are you kidding me! They said yes we have to count all the open ballots that were not used and break down the voting booths. I told them you start counting the ballots and I'll break these booths down and we will be out of here by 9:00. They just looked at each other and laughed! They probably were thinking ROOKIE!
Well guess what were were out of there at 9:00. They kept telling me I was an angel sent from heaven. I told them no I learned so much from them in those 6 hours and loved every minute of it until I looked in the mirror and saw my hair! I learned so much about behind the scenes when voting. Also I got to see friends, neighbors, and people I went to high school with years ago. Just wish I would have had a better hair day! Hope you voted!

We ended the year with a loss in many ways!
Well another year is coming to a close and we ended 2007 with a few loses in our lives. When my brother John passed away in November we had a huge VOID in all our lives. We miss him so much but we also understand and know he's in a much better pkace where there is no pain or suffering.
Then our Sun Devils ended the year with a loss to TEXAS? It wasn't there night because we could have beat those LONGHORNS!
We are all looking forward to a new year. Our blessings go out to everyone for a wonderful 2008!
HUGS

Merry Christmas
We will be cheering on the Sun Devils from home this Thursday as they defeat the Texas longhorns in the Holiday bowl game. Our busy schedules didn't allow us to attend the game in San Diego.
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very healthy and wonderful New Year.
Love to all,
