Celebrating with great friends!

Today my friends Lisa Burr and Jennifer Wamboldt took me to the new restaurant at Dana Park called Bar Tepo. It was really good. K if you know these gals they love long lunches like I do. We made ourselves comfy in a long booth. Lisa mentioned she was having a hot flash and the waitress dropped a full glass of ice water on her lap! Wow that took care of that problem! LOL

We enjoyed lunch {and of course Dessert} for 3 hours! Oh life is rough! To all the Moms that your kids are starting kindergarten life does get better!

Just another Sunday afternoon at the Coffey Grounds

Here are some photos that Ashley and I caught of Andrea playing with the dogs, as we are waiting patiently for Jamie's yummy Sunday dinner.  All I could say is don't break my vases on the coffee table!

Peeps!

There's peeps in the neighborhood!  The next door neighbors are dog sitting and our nosey dogs wanted a look.  When Bear saw it was a Chocolate Lab he wanted all the way over the fence to play.  Jame is holding back our 110 pound dog!  Boy oh Boy!

A great day!

It was a great day.  It all started with my girls {Andrea & Ashley} taking me to breakfast at Wildflower.  Then I was invited to join my brother David, Sister Maryann and my sweet Mom for lunch at Cracker's. In the afternoon I received a beautiful Edible fruit bouquet from my dear friend Diana.  I received many calls and emails all day long.  We escaped for a dinner together as a family to the new Flancer's.  I know Jamie isn't much on going out on the week days so I picked some place close to the house.  I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many loved ones.  

It was a blessed day!

Wow is it ever gonna get cool? I am so ready for it to be Halloween only for the weather! I Hope your summer is going great. To the nieces and nephews that started school Monday we are thinking of you and have a great school year!

Refreshing Summer Salad

5-Cup Fruit Salad

1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup drained mandarin oranges
1 cup drained pineapple tidbits
1 cup sour cream


In a meduium bowl, combine coconut, marshmallows, orandes, pineapplem and sour cream. Cover, and chill 8 hours.
Yummy!

Blackbery Cobbler

Preheat oven to 375. Place 4 cups fresh blackberries in a lightly greased 8 inch square baking dish; sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice. Stir together 1 large egg, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup all-purpose flour in a medium bowl until mixture resembles course meal. Sprinkle over fruit. Drizzle 6 Tbsp. melted butter over topping. Bake at 375 for 30 or 35 minutes, until lightly browned and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desred. Garnish with fresh mint sprig, if desired. Makes 6 servings prep 10 min., Bake 30-35min., Stand 10 min.

What's For Dinner?

I don't know about you but I sure am ready for some new recipes. Yesterday my friend Lisa Burr and her darling Mom (Ya Ya Dee) well we sat for three hours and watched the cooking channel. July Birthday Celebrations

Wow it's July already and we have a lot of birthdays to celebrate in our familia. Jennifer and Robert celebrated on the 3rd with a nice dinner at Maryann's. Then Zach turned 6 today and his Ninos made him a wonderful swim party. On the 12Th can you believe that baby Ava will be turning one. She is almost walking and has 6 teeth on the top. She is a cutie Patootie! Also on the 12th Frank will be 64 and he's been walking for awhile and still has all his teeth LOL. Then I turn 50 something the end of this month (23rd) along with my cousin Anna Marie but she's much younger!
